Maintaining both mental and physical well-being is essential for enjoying a fulfilling student life. Kyushu Dental University provides support through a Student Counseling Center, where you can discuss a wide range of concerns, and a Health Services Center that promotes both mental and physical health, helping you maintain a healthy and rewarding campus life.
Student counseling room
Professional counselors (licensed clinical psychologists) are available to support students with a wide range of concerns that may arise during student life. We listen carefully to your concerns, work with you to explore possible solutions, and help you achieve a more fulfilling student experience. You are welcome to consult us about any issue, including interpersonal relationships, academic matters, aptitude and career paths, club activities, personal relationships, and mental and physical health. Please feel free to use our services. Even if you do not have a specific concern but simply wish to talk, you are always welcome.

Counselors are available only during designated office hours. To ensure smooth counseling sessions, appointments are generally required. Please prepare your preferred date and time and contact information in advance, and make a reservation through the online booking system.

Services Provided
health measurement
You can freely measure your height, weight, body fat percentage, blood pressure, grip strength, eyesight, and more. A measurement chart is also provided, so you can take regular measurements. Please use it to help manage your health.

Health consultation
Please feel free to consult us about any physical or mental health concerns, worries, or anything else that's on your mind. We can also refer you to the student counseling center or hospitals near the university.
Please rest assured that the content of your consultation and your personal privacy will be kept strictly confidential.

Rest and first aid
You can rest if you are not feeling well. We also provide first aid for minor injuries, but please note that we cannot prescribe oral medications.
For illnesses or injuries that we cannot treat, we will refer you to a medical institution appropriate to your symptoms.

Other Information
We offer regular health checkups and health guidance, referrals to medical institutions, health promotion and education, and health-related information. We also have books and pamphlets on health, so please feel free to use our facilities when you want to take a break.

Support for students with disabilities
With the aim of promoting the elimination of discrimination on the basis of disability and realizing a society in which people can coexist without being separated or discriminated against based on whether or not they have a disability, the Act on Promotion of the Elimination of Discrimination on the Basis of Disability (Disability Discrimination Elimination Act) came into effect on April 1, 2016.
At our university, in accordance with the Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, we provide reasonable accommodations tailored to the specific characteristics of the disability and the nature of the social barriers to students with disabilities who wish to have social barriers removed, even temporarily.
