Tuition Reduction/Exemption for Graduate Students
Tuition fees will be reduced or waived if a student has excellent academic performance and meets any of the following conditions, making it extremely difficult for them to pay tuition fees.
(International students are not eligible.)
- In cases of significant damage caused by a disaster (within one year prior to the payment deadline)
- Death, separation, long-term illness or injury, unemployment, etc. of the primary payer of tuition fees (within one year prior to the payment deadline)
- A person sharing the same household receives welfare benefits.
- Higher education for residents of child welfare facilities
- In addition to the cases listed in the preceding paragraphs, in cases where the Chairman of the Board of Directors deems it particularly necessary.
However, tuition fee reductions will not apply in the following cases:
a. If tuition fees are unpaid
b. Failure to apply for a scholarship without a reasonable reason
*Applications are accepted for each semester (first and second semester), and the amount of the reduction will be determined by the university after review.
*Depending on the results of the review, the fee reduction may not be granted.
*Application forms for tuition fee reduction/exemption are available at the Student Support Office. (There is a limited time period for obtaining them.)
Tuition Installment Payments for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Students who meet any of the following criteria and are deemed to have significant difficulty paying tuition may pay their tuition in installments.
(Academic performance is not a requirement) (International students are not eligible.)

- Death, separation, long-term illness or injury, unemployment, etc. of the primary payer of tuition fees (within one year prior to the payment deadline)

Nagamatsu Scholarship
The Nagamatsu Scholarship is a scholarship program unique to Kyushu Dental University, established with donations from the family of the University’s first president, the late Professor Katsumi Nagamatsu. Founded in 50 as part of the University’s 1968th anniversary commemorative projects, it has continued to support students to this day. Students who demonstrate excellent academic performance, good conduct, and sound health, and who are recognized as having financial difficulty in pursuing their studies, are eligible to receive interest-free loans of 30,000 or 50,000 yen per month.

Recruitment of scholarship recipients for children orphaned by traffic accidents
Qualifications for application
Students whose guardians or other guardians have died or suffered severe disabilities resulting from road accidents such as car or motorcycle accidents, making it financially difficult for them to continue their studies.
*Applicants must be 25 years old or younger at the time of application (or 29 years old or younger if they were receiving a scholarship from the Traffic Accident Orphans' Scholarship Association for High School Students).
*Can be used in conjunction with other scholarship programs.

Free computer loan program for remote learning
We have asked students to prepare their own computers for study, but for students who are unable to secure one quickly due to financial reasons or other circumstances, and who are experiencing difficulties taking remote classes, we have implemented a system since 2020, utilizing subsidies from Fukuoka Prefecture, to lend laptops and other devices free of charge.
