The 74th Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Dentistry and the 144th Degree Conferment Ceremony for the Graduate School were held for the 2025 academic year.
On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Kyushu Dental University held its 74th Faculty of Dentistry Graduation Ceremony and 144th Graduate School Degree Conferment Ceremony for the 2025 academic year.
In the 2025 academic year, a total of 126 students embarked on a new chapter in their lives: 82 in the Department of Dentistry, 26 in the Department of Oral Health, 4 in the Department of Oral Health in the Graduate School of Dentistry, and 14 in the Department of Dentistry in the Graduate School of Dentistry.
Graduation certificates and diplomas were presented to all students by President Hideji Awano.
Following the graduation oath by Masazumi Nishi of the Department of Dentistry, President Awano addressed the graduates, saying, "I sincerely hope that each of you will consider the significance of living in society as dental professionals and find true happiness."
Furthermore, Mr. Sakata, Director of the Private School Promotion and Youth Development Bureau, representing Governor Hattori, delivered a congratulatory address. After Mr. Ikuya Murashiro (5th year dental student) gave a farewell address on behalf of the current students, Ms. Rin Ishikawa (dentistry) and Ms. Miki Funabashi (oral health) spoke on behalf of the graduating class, stating their determination to "carry the knowledge and skills we have learned at this university, and the kindness of many people, in our hearts, and to strive even harder to contribute to regional healthcare and become medical professionals who are needed by society," before the ceremony concluded.
Kyushu Dental University President's Award
At our university, we recognize and award students or groups who excel in academic performance, extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and other areas, as exemplary role models for other students.
The President's Award was presented to students and groups who have achieved particularly outstanding academic and extracurricular activity results among the graduating class, and the recipients shared their joy at receiving the award.
