Industry–academia collaboration refers to cooperative initiatives between educational and research institutions, such as universities, and private companies to conduct research and development and related innovation activities. Kyushu Dental University promotes collaboration with industry partners and other organizations to contribute to societal development and to further enhance its educational and research activities. The University engages in joint research and development with a wide range of industries, including assistive device manufacturers, food companies, and IT-related companies, and presents its research outcomes at the annual industry–academia collaboration fair.
