  • I received the Kyushu Radio Cooperation Association Chairman's Award. The ceremony was held on June 1st, hosted by the Kyushu Regional Bureau of Telecommunications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Kyushu Radio Cooperation Association.

    Professor Nakahara, in his leading role as Deputy Chairman of the "Council for the Promotion of Radio Wave Utilization in Medical Institutions in the Kyushu Region," and his pioneering efforts in the full-scale introduction of next-generation PHS within the hospital, have made significant contributions to promoting a safe and secure radio wave utilization environment in medical institutions, for which he has received this award.

  • At the 72nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Oral Hygiene, I received the "LION AWARD" from the Japanese Society for Oral Hygiene.

    The award-winning title is "Tongue cleaning maintains respiratory function in older individuals: A 1-year randomised controlled trial."
    This is the first time a dental hygienist has received this award.

  • I received the 2021 Kyushu Orthodontics Society Travel Award.

    Assistant Professor Mizuhara received her doctorate with a dissertation entitled "Vesicular nucleotide transporter mediates adenosine triphosphate release in compressed human periodontal ligament fibroblast cells and participates in tooth movement-induced nociception in rats," and has since been actively engaged in research on pain mechanisms in orthodontic treatment.

  • My paper, "Dectin-1-mediated suppression of RANKL-induced osteoclastogenesis by glucan from baker's yeast," published in J Cell Physiol, has been selected to receive the Dentsply Sirona Award from the Japanese Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

    This research was conducted as a collaborative project between the Division of Infections and Molecular Biology and the Division of Oral Functional Development.

  • I received the 2020 Kyushu Orthodontics Society Travel Award.

    Professor Sago received his doctorate with a dissertation entitled "Prostanoid-dependent spontaneous pain and PAR2-dependent mechanical pain following oral mucosal trauma: involvement of TRPV1, TRPA1 and TRPV4," and has since been actively engaged in research on pain mechanisms in the oral cavity.

    The awards ceremony was originally scheduled to take place during the 39th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Dental Education, but due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, it was changed to a web-based event and will now be held during the 40th Annual Meeting next year.
