Department of Comprehensive Dental Practice Educational Development
From April 2026, Division of Comprehensive Dentistry,The Division of Clinical Education Development and Research and the Division of Promoting Learning Design for Innovative Education have been reorganized.It became a single course.
- Our research focuses on medical communication and professionalism, encompassing student education, dental residency training, clinical practice aligned with comprehensive dental care, and research in dental education and behavioral science.
- Through clinical education centered on clinical clerkships and research related to education and clinical fields, we aim to cultivate dentists who can practice comprehensive care and contribute to the local community.
- We conduct institutional research (IR) and research related to dental education, from undergraduate education to clinical residency training.
- In clinical training education, we are focusing on revising postgraduate clinical training programs and building a seamless educational system from pre-clinical dental education programs to postgraduate clinical training.

Division of Comprehensive Internal Medicine
As one of the few medical fields at our university, we teach internal medicine. Our research primarily focuses on analyzing the relationship between dental health and internal medicine, as well as predictors of mortality in the elderly, based on population epidemiological surveys.

Physiology is the study that aims to elucidate the mechanisms of living organisms, serving as the foundation for all medical sciences. In addition to teaching students knowledge and function, we also focus on oral pathophysiology research to elucidate the pathogenesis of dental diseases and develop new treatment methods.

Division of Infections and Molecular Biology
We view infectious diseases from the perspective of "the interaction between microorganisms and hosts," and in addition to providing education aimed at training excellent dental professionals, we are also conducting research activities on the effects of oral microorganisms on oral diseases and the entire body.
